OSFC Announce new Coach for 2005
The Old Scotch Football Club has appointed former Collingwood start Barry Price its Senior Coach for the 2006 season.

Club President, Tim Shearer said "Barry was an outstanding candidate in an excellent field of applicants, and the club's board last night unanimously appointed him to the Senior Coaching position. We are delighted to have a man of Barry's calibre leading our club into the future."

Barry is the Director of Sport at Scotch College, and brings an immense amount of experience in all matters connected with football to Old Scotch Football Club. "Barry's credentials are outstanding. He played 158 games for Collingwood and kicked 60 goals. He won the Copeland Trophy for best and fairest at Collingwood in 1969, represented Victoria in 1970, and was Vice-Captain of Collingwood in 1972." Tim said.

Barry went to Western Australia at 26 in the prime of his career to study and to play for Claremont, returning to Collingwood in 1979 at the age of 30. Injuries curtailed his comeback with the Magpies, but he became a skills coach with the club in the early 1980s.

Barry coached Old Scotch in season 1986 before coaching East Burwood in the Eastern Football league for two years.

The Old Scotch Football Club looks forward to benefiting greatly from Barry's immense football knowledge and coaching skills. Barry will be assisted by Mick Smith who has an outstanding playing record in country Victoria. Together they will introduce a structure that will support the unique nature of Old Scotch and its six football teams.
