Old Scotch Fail To Function At The Junction

Another disappointing display at the Junction Oval saw Old Melburnians hang on for a 3 point win.

A tardy start saw OMs steal the initiative and only inaccurate kicking by our opponent kept us in the game at half time. A much better performance in the second half saw us get within striking distance but we were unable to land the killer blow.

The loss was analysed effectively and now all focus is on the First Semi Final against Old Xavier at Box Hill City Oval on Sunday. Both the seniors and reserves play Old Xavier in what promises to be a huge day of football. The reserves started strongly into the breeze but failed to capitalize on the early good work by letting OMs back into the game in the second quarter. OMs ran out 3 goal winners and thoroughly deserved to take the points. Hard work is needed by everyone at the club this week to turn these two results around.

All supporters are encouraged to get down to the Box Hill City oval on Whitehorse Road next Sunday to encourage the boys as they battle to go deeper into the September action.
